Hello friends! Hurricane Harvey has really laid some destruction on our fair state. Over 38,000 people are in shelters and the time to help is now. This page on texasmonthly.com shows you the many ways you can help those in need. Speaking of which, my friend, Louie Carr stopped by after his first trip to Houston. Louie and his partners at BMUSED Imaging bought a boat, grabbed an R.V. and headed to Houston to rescue people from their flooded streets and homes. It's an extremely intense scenme down there as Louie tells us. Also, he let's us know what the most needed spplies are. Louie is a real hero among many others who have come to the aid of these people in need.
Industrial rock hero, Curse Mackey is my guest on the show today! You might know Curse from his many musical projects including, PIGFACE, Evil Mothers, My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult, DJ and solo performances and even his latest project, Amorous. hello friends! i hope you're all doing well. i'm good. very tired. i played last night with my band, ladyband johnson at the townend here in austin. we had a great time. i wish we could have played longer. heading out to houston today to play some private events with skyrocket. looking forward to that. also, we'll be staying in my favorite hotel, so that's always a plus. i'm not sure you keep up with the cooking webseries i have with my old pal, aj vallejo, called, "cooking/drinking with johnny and aj". we made a crazy bloody mary last week with "bloody revolution" bloody mary mix and tito's vodka. well, both companies saw it and we have cases of both now. thanks to bloody revolution and tito's vodka! check out our show here .
my guest for episode 479 is producer/dj/beat maker/label owner, eric dingus. eric was on the show 3 years ago when he was 17 and making beats in his room for rappers. well, since then he's created a label called, dream sequence records, produced a song for drake, toured europe, the u.s. and canada dj-ing and much, much more. i had a great time catching up with this thoughtful, humble and extremely talented artist who is bringing a new sound to hip hop and electronic music. i hope you enjoy getting to know eric dingus again. i sure did. let's get down!

hello friends! i hope you're all getting your weekend groove on. what ever that means or looks like. things are good here. i saw some music last night. i saw daniel eyes and the vibes then i saw moonpie, julianna sheffield and david' garza! great time. i'm off from skyrocket this weekend. i think i'm just gonna lock myself away and write songs for a couple of days. wish me luck. 
my guests for episode 475 are austin, hip-hop collective, heye minds! they stopped by a few eeks ago to talk about their monthly hip-hop residency called, "sundaze". "sundaze" is put on by solstice live and heye minds. it takes place the last sunday of every month from 10 pm - 2 am at the vulcan gas company on 6th street here in austin. hello friends! i hope you're all doing well. i had a crazy weekend of shows. hey! speaking of shows, i'm playing a solo show next tuesday, november 17th at the townsend. the show starts at 8 and i go on at 9. there will be a special guest playing from 8-9. i'll post a link on our facebook page when i have all the details. i'm looking for an old drum machine that's reasonably priced and is from the 70's. do you know of one. write me on our facebook page. my guest for episode 434 is the voice of KUTX 98.9 fm in austin, laurie gallardo! this is laurie's second time on the show. we sat down a month or so ago and caught up on her various endeavors including her d.j. shift on KUTX 98.9 monday-thursday 8-11pm, her support of local music and touring bands with her "austin music minute" heard daily on KUTX and "the good music club" which can be found at thegoodmusicclub.com/ and much, much more! laurie has been a great friend and tireless supporter of the podcast and my music career. i have a genuine respect for her. i see her out at a lot of shows and music functions. she's definitely an important part of this crazy austin music scene. i hope you enjoy our conversation as much as i did. let's get down! ciao! -jg
