Episode 219: Warren Hood

hello friends! fall has put it's cool and windy arms around austin this week and it feels delicious. i hope the weather is treating you well wherever you are. i'm going to oklahoma city this weekend to play a show with SKYROCKET!. i haven't been there in a whole year. we have a few shows this week. it's good to be busy. oh! if you are in austin, SKYROCKET! will be playing a big show at the belmont next thursday, november 14th. come out! the show should be fun. we're playing outside tonight and i'm debating wearing long underwear... i'm such a weenie when it comes to the cold.

my guest for episode 219 is the immensely talented and very sweet, warren hood! this is warren's second appearance on the show. he was on our first live show two years ago as a member of the coveters. since then, warren has put out a new album and toured behind it, toured with the bodeans, hayes carll, played the legendary weekly show, "the hippie hour" and much, much more. warren came by and we talked about  music tradition, wanting to be a basketball star, berklee college of music, becoming a lead singer, going to high school with gary clark jr. & suzanna chofell, working with charlie sexton on his new album and much, much more. i hope you enjoy getting to know warren as much as i did.

ciao! -jg
