Episode 285: Otis The Destroyer

hello friends! i hope this week has met you with open arms and you feel like you're swimming downstream... with the current. i'm good. i'm sitting in with jeff plankenhorn, brannen temple, yogi musgrove and malford milligan tonight. that should be fun. i'm going to be taking over plankenhorn's tuesday night residency for the summer while he goes to canada. it's called, "johnny goudie & friends", it's at strange brew and it starts next tuesday, july 1st 2014. my first guests will be jeremy nail and joseph king. here's more info https://www.facebook.com/events/1470709166502528/ so, if you're in austin on any tuesdays in july and august, come out and see some music. cheers!

my guest for episode 285 is taylor wilkins from the amazing rock band, otis the destroyer. i got to see otis the destroyer the night before we had this conversation and i am really glad i did. the band is so great. they have great songs, they're really loud when they have to be, taylor is a great singer and they go into these prog-informed jams that really take you somewhere. taylor was on once before with his old band, the couch. anyway, we had a great conversation about the band, touring, making their e.p. dark arts and much more. i hope you enjoy my conversation with taylor. i did.
