episode 5 features shane lawlor from electric touch who have been out on "the warped tour" this summer and played lolapalooza, coachella and are about to play the a.c.l. festival next month. the band's island records' release is due out later this year. their single, "don't stop" is already out. you can hear it and find out more about the band here http://www.electrictouch.com/
i was glad that my old friend, shane, could come to the apartment the other day. we had a chance to talk about his early years in nottingham, his time as bill wyman in a rolling stones tribute band, moving to the u.s. with his old band, IV thieves, electric touch, playing festivals and how one of his first songs was about a train. i hope you enjoy it!

welcome to episode 4. in the last four decades dony wynn has played drums with robert palmer, dr. john, brooks & dunn and many, many more. he is an extremely inspired and colorful person with a very rich history in this business. i have been friends with dony for years and i've always wanted to get to sit down and hear just how he got here. well, i got to! from "growing up" in the extremely fertile new orleans music scene to moving to los angeles with bobby kimball (toto) and getting fired by larry graham which lead to a chance meeting with robert palmer, the artist with whom he would forge a musical and personal relationship that would last from 1979's "bad case of loving you" until robert's untimely death in 2003. we talked for an hour and a half!

welcome to "how did i get here?". i'm your host, johnny goudie. i am a musician and i will be interviewing musicians about what made them get into music, what drives them to create and how they handle their careers in hopes that we can learn about artists we like and also learn about some artists we've not yet heard of. hopefully, this podcast will become a part of your listening routine as so many podcasts have become part of mine.
episode one features suzanna choffel. suzanna just released an album called, "steady eye, shaky bow". the album is absolutely brilliant! in this interview, we'll learn what got suzanna into music, her life-changing six weeks in brazil and how she got here.
i'm new at this whole hosting/podcasting thing. i love doing and i have a lot of friends that can talk to in this format. if you have any suggestions as to how to make the show better or just general comments, please leave them for me. i'll even read them on the podcast. cheers! johnny
