Episode 108: Michael Fracasso

hello folks! it's 5:15 a.m.... i'm getting ready to go see some music this morning. starting with my old friend, scrappy jud newcombe at 6 a.m. at whole foods market. today is the health alliance for austin musicians' benefit day. which means live music all over town starting at 6 a.m. and ending at 2 a.m. all benefitting and raising awareness for the organization that insures musicians. one of those beautiful things that makes austin so unique. if you would like to find out more about the health alliance for austin musicians, go to www.myhaam.org

my guest for episode 108 is the incredible, michael fracasso. i first heard and met michael in 1991 when i moved into the congress house recording studio. he was recording his first album.i fell in love with michael's timeless, lonesome voice and sweet songs instantly and have been a fan ever since. michael just released his 8th album, "saint monday" last year and has been touring behind it ever since. we talked about his humble beginnings in a small, ohio steel town to preparing for his 9th album and everything in between. i have always liked michael a lot. he's a great guy. i hope you enjoy our conversation as much as i did.

ciao! -jg
