Episode 189: Colin Gilmore

hello friends! i hope you're all doing well. i've had a great week. tuesday night i got to play with the bluebonnets. that was so fun! they're such a great rock and roll band. i'll be doing something with kathy valentine. stay tuned and we'll announce some shows in a couple of months when we get it together. in other news, we have a live podcast coming up on wednesday, july 31st at 8pm at antone's in austin, texas! our guests will be, Western Youth, Christy Hays, and then the Love Leighs. all of the bands will play after the live podcast, so you'll know a little bit about the artists before you get to hear them play. come out! doors are at 7!

our guest for episode 189 is phenomenal singer/songwriter, colin gilmore! i've known colin and his family for over 20 years. he's a super sweet guy and he's just released his 5th album, the wild and hollow. i've always been a fan of colin's and i was glad he was able to stop by the apartment and talk about his journey. we talked about his whole trip... crazy punk teen running the streets of lubbock, moving to austin with his dad, jimmie dale gilmore, his punk bands, touring with his dad and playing solo, his songwriting career, his new album, the wild and hollow and much more. plus, my friend stephanie stopped by for coffee. i hope you enjoy my conversation with colin. i did.

ciao! -jg
