The week after Memorial Day, my friend James Robinson reached out to me and asked if I would be interested in sitting down and talking about racism in light of the recent murder of George Floyd and the need for America to wake up to systemic racism. We had our conversation and I'm continuing with more. Today I am joined by lobbyist, philanthropist and entrepreneur, A.J. Bingham! We have a great conversation about growing up in Austin, systemic racism, working in a mostly "white" world, being a lobbyist and what that means and much more. I would like to thank A.J. for his time and insight. Go to binghamgp.com for more on A.J. and his company, The Bingham Group. We have a lot of work to do. Listening is the best place to start. Hello friends! I hope you're all healthy and sane. On July 11, 2000, My old band, Goudie released our debut album, Peep Show on TMC/Elektra. TMC was a "vanity label" owned by Metallica Drummer, Lars Ulrich. Today I am joined by my Goudie bandmate, Einar Pedersen to talk about our experience of putting Goudie together with Jimmy Messer and Bill Lefler, writing, recording, getting signed after a year of forming, dealing with Lars, making Peep Show twice, rock stars, Napster, our own shortcomings and the three years that were Peep Show and much more. It was fun and cathartic talking through this experience with my dear old friend and musical partner, Einar. If you are a fan of the album or the band, this might answer some questions as to what happened to us. Let's get down!
