Episode 10: Ian Moore

hello everyone! when you get this, it will be friday. today is the first day of the ACL festival. are you going? i'm playing gigs all weekend, so i won't be able to attend. none of my bands are playing. anyway, there are a lot of bands in town this week. i wish i had my shit more together for this podcast, because i would've booked some touring acts, which is something i'd love to do. i love having my friends from austin on the show, but i would really like to have all kinds of musicians from all over the world on the show as well. maybe i need a "booker".... episode 10 features my old friend, ian moore. we spent the afternoon together and i had gotten to see him play earlier that week for a benefit for the fire victims. we talked about his early years, a life-changing event that took him from violin to guitar, the black cat, his early success, his uncompromising commitment to his art and the places it's taken him, his tour with jason mraz and his newest project, ian moore and the lossy coils. i hope you enjoy our conversation. it currently holds the record for the longest episode yet! don't forget! monday, october 3rd at momo's we have our first "how did i get here?" live podcast at 8 pm. my guests will be, THE COVETERS! find out more at www.momosclub.com
