Episode 1344: Nanette Labastida

Hello friends! I hope you have a very happy and safe new year. Austin treasure, Nanette Labastida is my guest for episode 1344! Nanette is a realtor here in Austin, but in the late 80's and early 90's, she was an Austin music influencer, and was out every night seeing music and being part of this music scene. She was such an integral part of the scene that she's interviewed in the new book, A Curious Mix of People: The Underground Scene of 90's Austin. I've been friends with Nanette for years and I have always loved her perspective on things. We have a great conversation about living in the U.K. as a teen, the magic of The 311 Club, Stevie Ray Vaughan Live at Steamboat, our friend Robin Sullivan, The Hole in the Wall, the magic of music, the time in life when music means everything, and much more.
