Episode 273: Warner E. Hodges
hello interwebsters! i hope you are all doing well in podcastland. i'm good. i've had a busy few days. i played with skyrocket on friday and saturday in houston and san antonio for some fundraisers then sunday afternoon, i played a solo show in austin at smashfest. my friend ryan joined me on sunday and we had a great time jamming out. a couple of friends and i have started a new podcast and we recorded the first two episodes yesterday! the show is called, "does anybody remember laughter?". it's hosted by my friends einar pedersen and ashley bergeron and me. it will debut on the tasty podcast network soon. look for it!
my guest for episode 273 is the one and only warner e. hodges. you might know warner best as the guitar player from jason and the scorchers, (who is back, going strong and making new records) or as the guitar player from the dan baird band or the bluefields or his own solo career. watner was in town a while back playing a house concert and my friends penny jo pullus and jason swedberg hooked us up. warner came by and we talked about the rise and fall and resurrection of jason and the scorchers, the cow punk movement, working with dan baird, going solo and much, much more. i hope you enjoy getting to know warner hodges. i did.
ciao! -jg
