how did i get here?

”Johnny Goudie is the Marc Maron of Austin music. The veteran singer/guitarist – best known for fronting early Nineties pop band Mr. Rocket Baby and, later, his major-label rock act, Goudie – stepped up to the microphone with a new intention in 2011 and launched the How Did I Get Here? podcast. Now 840-some episodes in, the hourlong, twice-weekly interview show gives the host a platform to really connect with his Austin music guests, not just on what’s happening in their careers, but also in the shared experience of music appreciation – and that’s where he truly shines.” -The Austin Chronicle 2019

Today, we lost a beloved member of the Austin music scene. Daniel Sahad from Nané passed away on Sunday. My heart goes out to his family and close friends. If you knew Daniel, you knew his amazing talent, huge smile and sweetness. You knew he was driven to make things happen for Nané and was an extremely supportive music fan. Daniel and his musical partner, Ian Green were on the show on episodes 826 in 2019 and 988 in 2020, so I put them both together for this. Rest in peace, Daniel. You'll be missed. Please enjoy our conversations from Aug. 2nd 2019 and Nov. 6th 2020.
