Hello friends! i hope his episode finds you all living the American dream. I'm good. I've spent the week doing podcasts, rehearsing with my drummer Joe Humel, rehearsing with SKYROCKET! and working with The Austin Music Foundation. You might wonder if I ever fuck anything up because some days, I do at least three of those things. The answer is yes. This week I deleted a podcast right after I recorded it with a band called, Girling. I was doing a lot of different things that day and I just got confused and turned off my machine without saving it. They're coming back next week and we're gonna redo it. I think I need a vacation.
My guests for episode 585 are Tony Scalzo and Miles Zuniga from the pop band, Fastball! They're releasing theirsixth album, Step Into The Light on Friday, May 19th and they're going on tour all summer of the U.S. with Everclear and Vertical Horizon. You can find out if they're coming to a town near you by going to fastballtheband.com Tony and Miles and I have a great conversation about how they met and formed Fastball, getting signed by Hollywood Records, Keeping the original band together for six albums and for over 20 years, their friendship, disterous self-managing times, getting the Machine Gun Kelly and Camilla Cabelo's interpelation of the Fastball song "Out Of My Head" called, "Bad Things" and much, much more! I genuinely love these guys and their band. You will too after this show. Let's get down!

Hello friends! I hope you all had a great Easter weekend or a good Passover or just a great weekend. I had good weekend. I played a couple of shows with SKYROCKET!, went to Waco on easter Sunday and met my aunt and her partner at probably the worst Mexican restaurant in America. I used to eat at the ones in Houston when I was a kid and I loved them, but this one in Waco was "the suck". Anyway, I had a great day with those ladies. We drove around Waco, had some drinks at a pub and caught up. It was a nice Easter.

Hello friends! I hope you're easing into your weekend in style. I'm in the midst of a week full of SKYROCKET! shows here in Austin and Houston. So far, it's been fun and inetersting. We even played a gig at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday. I've been out of the "news loop" this week. I'm taking a stand. At least, I think I'm taking a stand. I was watching CNN too much. I don't even know if "the news" is really THE NEWS anymore. Do you feel like that? Now it's like a host and a panel and they argue and there's not any actual journalism. I watch Vice when i can, but that's not very often and the news cycle moves so fats that it almost doesn't make sense to watch it the next day. Anyway, I'm out of the TV news for now.
My guest for episode 579 is the phenomenally talented and incredibly entertaining, Lili Blessing!Lili's gorgeous new album, Lifeline came out a couple of weeks ago. She's been making the press rounds and is about to start playing some shows. I hope you enjoy getting to know Lili. I sure did. Let's get down!

Hello gang! I'm trying to regroup from my 23 hours and 45 minutes in Las Vegas the last couple of days. I went there to play with The Bodeans. I had a total blast playing with them and hanging out. I've been listening to The Bodeans since I was in high school and their first album came out. I used to sit around and sit play along and sing harmonies with their albums, so it was kind of mind blowing to be onstage with them, including the legendary Kenny Aronoff on drums, playing along and singing harmonies, but for real. They're all wonderful people and I had a great trip.

Hello friends! I hope you're all holding up in this crazy time of extreme insanity. On one hand, it seems like the world is falling apart and on the other, it seems like everything is fine and the news is trying to freak us out 24 hours a day. I went to lake Charles, LA with SKYROCKET! on Saturday and realized that when people put on costumes, drink heavily and let themselves give-in to the joy of music and dancing and celebrating being alive, the insanity that we face on a day-to-day basis, falls away like a bad dream. Of course, it's always there waiting for you when you wake up the next day hungover and wishing everything would just stop.
Cory, Aaron and Todd, better known as the band, Sphynx return to the show for episode 565! Their epic new e.p., Floppy Disco comes out this Friday February 10th.
